It is shown live on the home page, read from your own device, in both written and ISO 8601 form.
What week number is it?
The current ISO week is on the week number page, which also looks up the week for any other date.
Does the site know my location?

The date calculator has a business-days option that skips weekends. Public holidays vary by country and are not deducted.

Today's Date

Frequently asked questions

How many days are left in this year?
The figure is shown above and accounts for leap years, counting from today to 31 December.
What quarter are we in?
The current calendar quarter is shown above. Q1 is January to March, Q2 April to June, Q3 July to September and Q4 October to December.
Is the date read from my device?
Yes. Nothing is fetched from a server, so the date always matches your own system settings.

Tomorrow's Date

Frequently asked questions

What is tomorrow's date?
It is shown above, calculated from your device's current date, including the correct weekday.
Does it handle the end of a month?
Yes. The last day of any month correctly rolls to the first of the next, including across a year boundary and on 29 February in leap years.

Week Number

Frequently asked questions

What week number is it now?
The current ISO week is shown above, along with how many weeks the current ISO year contains.
Why is 1 January sometimes in week 52?
Because ISO week 1 must contain the first Thursday of January. If 1 January falls late in a week, that week still belongs to the previous year.
Do weeks start on Monday or Sunday?
Under ISO 8601 they start on Monday. Sunday-start numbering is common in the United States and gives different week numbers.

Day of Year

Frequently asked questions

What day of the year is it?
The number is shown above, out of 365 or 366 depending on whether this is a leap year.
How many days are in this year?
365 in a common year and 366 in a leap year. The page shows which applies and how many days remain.
Is day of year the same as a Julian date?
No. Day of year is 1 to 366 within a single year, while a Julian day number is a continuous count running into the millions.

Date Calculator

Frequently asked questions

How do I work out 90 days from today?
Enter today's date, choose Add, enter 90 and select days. The result includes the weekday and the ISO 8601 form.
Does the business-day option skip holidays?
It skips Saturdays and Sundays only. Public holidays differ by country and are not deducted.
Is the days-between count inclusive?
The main figure is exclusive, counting the gaps between the dates. The inclusive count is shown underneath so you can use whichever your context needs.
What happens adding a month to the 31st?
The date rolls into the following month where the day number does not exist, which is the standard behaviour in most calendar software.
